Voice Teacher

Catherine Webber-Curry is a soprano and concert soloist based in the New York City area. Catherine earned both a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Opera Performance from the SUNY Purchase Conservatory, where roles included Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro and the title role in L’Incoronazione di Poppea. While a graduate student, Catherine created the role of Sophie in the world premiere of Raphael Lucas’ Confession.

Catherine’s professional engagements have included the Caramoor Young Artist Program, American Classical Orchestra, Regina Opera Company, Opera Company Brooklyn, and other established New York City companies. Favorite roles include Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Musetta in La Bohème, Frasquita in Carmen, and Poppea in L’Incoronazione di Poppea.

A longtime student of Bonnie Hamilton, Catherine brings a deep love of singing and storytelling to both performance and teaching. Away from the stage, Catherine shares life with a young son, her husband Joey, and a giant dog and is thrilled to pass along a love of opera to the next generation.
